My name is Stephen Brady. I am a qualified teacher from the UK. I have a BA (Hons) from Durham University, a PGCE from Huddersfield University, a Post Graduate Certificate in Specific Learning Difficulties from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Management (Education) from Lancaster University. More importantly, I have over 16 years of experience teaching a broad range of subjects to an even broader range of learners. I am excited to have the opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge in HeadStart International School and look forward to sharing engaging, fun and stimulating learning experiences with my students. I have lived on Phuket for over six years and enjoy the lifestyle immensely. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to visit and experience the cultures of many countries in Asia. I am always drawn back to Thailand and consider Phuket as my home. The beauty of the island, the people and, of course, the food, make it a difficult place to leave! I believe learning should be fun, inspiring and on-going. As teachers, we are constantly learning from our students as we motivate them to prepare for enriched, purposeful lives as adults. I have high expectations of my students and hope to inspire them to love learning as I provide opportunities for discovery and understanding. My aim is to promote self-confidence in all of my students to ensure they all realise their full potential both socially and academically. I look forward to my second year at HeadStart, working collaboratively with teachers, parents and students to achieve at the highest level and to make a real difference.

Hi, my name is Madelyn Gaudiel and from Philippines. I’m very excited to be part of the Year 5 Yellow this year. I graduated from the University of the East - Manila with a Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) specialized in Science and Health. I have been teaching for 9 years in different levels (4 years in Reception and 5 years in Primary) that exposed me to different challenges and opportunities in teaching. My teaching experiences had given me a chance to develop my skills in handling various levels of students, as well as those students with learning disabilities. Nowadays, students deals with everyday challenges it is essential that we prepare and equip them with knowledge and skills. I encourage them toward learning by incorporating creative and fun activities, hands on discovery and through various materials. I believe that with these methods of teaching will prepared them on the challenges ahead. Looking forward for an exciting fun learning experience in this new academic year.
