Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Presides Over the Grand Opening of HeadStart International School, Phuket
On the 19th of January, 2017, H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the Grand Opening of HeadStart International School, Phuket. Over 70 parents and guests gave donations towards the over 100 royal projects that Her Royal Highness presides over, each person receiving a Royal brooch in appreciation for their contribution. The HeadStart singers and dancers were honoured to perform a Thai dance after which the Princess visited booths set up to highlight some of the main events and accomplishments of our students. The Princess lit up in a big smile as HeadStart’s World Scholars offered her an alpaca, which is the mascot for the organisation.
We have received compliments from different government departments that were in attendance on how well the ceremony was organised and how well behaved our students were. Although there was slight panic when we found out that the princess was arriving earlier than planned, everyone remained focused and made themselves instantly ready for the visit.
The parents, students and staff of HeadStart feel greatly honoured to have had H.R.H. visit HeadStart International School, Phuket.
In commemoration of this occasion the school organised purple wristbands (purple is the Princess’ colour) to keep as a memory of this special day.
