Secondary Physical Education
In the Secondary P.E. curriculum students experience a wide range of 12 activities over an academic year.
- Dance and Movement
- Yoga and Pilates
- Table tennis
Teaching Styles and Philosophy
Students are encouraged to learn independently in all lessons. There is a strong focus on ‘Assessment for Learning’ in all lessons with peer and self assessment skills actively developed. Every half term the activities change so students follow a very broad and balanced curriculum.
In Key stage four students are actively encouraged to lead and coach parts of lessons where appropriate. IGCSE P.E. is also offered and is a very popular subject.
