Year 2B

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Primary School Education from the University of Quebec in Montreal (Canada) in 2010. I also hold a college degree in Literature and Journalism. Because I have taught at many different levels, I know about different age groups and child development. I have worked in a variety of schools (public and private) and have also taught in Malaga, Spain which I thoroughly enjoyed. I love discovering new cultures and this is why I decided to move to Phuket, to pursue my career in an inspiring setting. I am glad to be teaching in Year 2 for a second year at HeadStart International School.

Most of my teaching focuses on participation. I encourage teamwork to learn how to cooperate, share and discuss ideas; individual work to see how my students work on their own and what their abilities and struggles are; workshops and games to motivate my students; and differentiated work to concentrate on students’ particularities.

I believe that the classroom should be a safe place for every student to express themselves and feel accepted and respected. Creativity and individuality are highly valued in my classroom, and I encourage every student and parent to give their respectful opinion at all times. I am very loving and open-minded, and I aim for my students to feel at home in my classroom.

I am keen on keeping a steady communication between school and home. I am also happy to integrate parents and their ideas to the classroom.
