Year 5A

Hello, my name is Alana Cahill and I’m happy to be working as a Year 5 teacher.

I came to join the team at HeadStart from Newfoundland on the east coast of Canada. Shortly after I finished high school, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Memorial University specialising in English and Psychology. Eager to build on my education, I completed a Master’s Degree in English Language and Literature this past autumn. I’m thankful that my educational background has allowed me to explore my passion for language and my love of learning new things.

This is my first time in Thailand and I’m already delighted by the beautiful weather and friendly people. I’m so grateful to be joining the wonderful group of teachers at HeadStart this year! I’m enthusiastic about learning and I believe my students will enjoy being challenged in my classroom. I’m committed to helping each child reach his or her full potential in a nurturing environment. With support and guidance, I believe that every child can develop confidence and great academic skills to prepare for the road ahead.

I look forward to meeting all of my students, the teachers, and the parents who make HeadStart a great place to learn.
