English

Mark Jaconbson

My name is Mark Jacobson, and I come from England.

Whilst being a part of Her Majesty`s Forces army intelligence (Special Forces) it was always my desire to teach, so I decided to do an English-Language Open University Degree from which I graduated with honours in August 1987.

I also attained a TEFL Certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) in 2003 and also a TESOL Certificate (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 2004.

I have taught a range of age groups throughout secondary schools and also in adult colleges, teaching students English as an Additional Language (EAL).

I have always wanted to teach English in Thailand. After coming here in May 2011, and visiting a number of schools and attending several interviews I decided to accept the position offered to me by HeadStart School and to become a part of the teaching staff in August 2011.

For me, the English Language is the most important educational tool. As a teacher it is my aim to equip my students with all the necessary tools of the English Language so that when they leave HeadStart they will go forward with understanding and confidence to face the outside world.
