My name is Sophie Cunningham. I joined HeadStart in April 2017 as the Year 4 Blue Homeroom teacher. I am from the United Kingdom and have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Primary Education from the University of Wales, UK. I thoroughly enjoyed by first term at HeadStart and am looking forward to the next academic year. Before moving to Phuket I was teaching for 12 years in one of the leading Primary Schools in South Wales. I am an enthusiastic teacher with a real passion for education and feel very honoured to be in the profession I am in. I feel that an important aspect of teaching is to create a lifelong love of learning therefore I strive to ensure that the children in my care are excited about learning. I believe that for children to succeed they must be given a safe and stimulating environment in which to learn and I work hard to ensure that I deliver fun, inspiring and innovative lessons to capture their interest and imagination. I am looking forward to getting to know each student over the course of next year and to working with all the staff and students at HeadStart.
