P.E. Department Announcement–From Steve Ketley

Just a reminder for Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 as we will be going to the pool and not Surakul Stadium for their double PE period so if parents could make sure kids have their swimmers, goggles, towel and a suitable bag to store their wet gear. Please note that any student unable to swim for any reason will need a note from their parent or guardian. This information has already gone out as a note to students in their homework folders during the week.

CIE Training

The attached pictures are for your update. They were taken during the CIE Thai and Chinese language teaching training course held at Harrow Bangkok on 7-8, March. During the course, we got up-to-date info from the Principle Examiner for CIE, exchanged teaching resources and ideas among teachers from other schools in Thailand, as well as teachers from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia etc. It is a great beneficial for the teachers and schools attended.

Some of our talented HSIS students and teachers have been busy learning songs and dance for our upcoming production “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”. The show is a 1967 musical comedy with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip Peanuts. HSIS will be presenting a shorter version of the musical in June. Be ready to see your favourite characters - Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Snoopy, Sally and Schroeder come to life on stage.
