Jazon Edouard, School Director of HeadStart International School, happily receiving the results of the school’s recent teachers and student drug tests from staff of Phuket Provincial Hospital. All 158 teachers, staff and students tested were negative. HeadStart is officially a drug free school!
New Food Service Committee
HeadStart now has a designated Food Service Committee consisting of parents, teachers and school management. The committee members are Khun Apple, Khun Rat, Mrs Karen New, Khun Dao, Ms Anisa van der Laan, Mr Richard Allenby. The main responsibilities of the Food Service Committee are to monitor, gather opinions from parents, students and staff and send recommendations to the Executive Chef.
Thai Culture Club volunteers at the Sunshine Village
Students from the Thai Culture Club volunteered their time and care for the students of the Phuket Sunshine Village. They were also able to round up donations of clothes, dolls, stationery items and 8,500 Baht from the parents. Thank you to all who participated in this meaningful project!
Year 11 volunteers at the Ban Jo school
Teacher Jennifer Campbell organised a meaningful excursion with the Year 11 class benefitting the students of HeadStart as well as the students of the Ban Jo school. Students organised lots of fun activities and games for the kids to play and the day turned out to be a success!
International Day parent contact info
With International Day approaching on the 29th of March we hope that you have been able to read the information in last week’s update and start making preparations for this special event!
For your convenience there will be a board designated specifically for the International Day parent info hanging in front of the football field.
If you would like to be contacted by other families with the same nationality as you please put your name and contact info on the board and hopefully you can link up and make a display, food and presentations from your countries.

Cheer leaders
Our little Cheer leaders are well on their way to becoming a fun and energetic attraction at future sporting events! For your information all cheer leaders will be fitted out for costumes on the 18th of February in the Primary Library from 12:30-1:00 pm.

I am pleased to inform you that we had an excellent rehearsal with the senior band on Tuesday afternoon. After having auditions for new band members, I have changed the lineup a little. The difference in attitude and professionalism is very encouraging.

I am feeling quite confident with the progress of the bands, and that they have a good chance of winning the Rubber Duck ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition in March.

เฮดสตาร์ทเป็นโรงเรียนปลอดสารเสพติด
คุณเจสัน เอดูวา ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนนานาชาติเฮดสตาร์ท มีความยินดีที่จะแจ้งให้ทราบว่าผลการตรวจสารเสพติดจากโรงพยาบาลอบจ.ภูเก็ต ของคณะครู พนักงานและนักเรียนรวมทั้งสิ้น 158 คนที่ได้รับการตรวจ ไม่มีใครมีสารเสพติดในร่างกายเลย โรงเรียนเฮดสตาร์ทจึงขอประกาศว่าเป็นโรงเรียนปลอดสารเสพติดอย่างเป็นทางการ
คณะกรรมการเรื่องการบริการอาหาร
ทางโรงเรียนได้จัดตั้งคณะกรรมการด้านอาหารประกอบด้วยผู้ปกครอง ครู และผู้บริหาร

ชมรมวัฒนธรรมไทย Saturday Thai Culture Club ร่วมทำกิจกรรมที่บ้านตะวันฉาย
นักเรียนจากชมรมวัฒนธรรมไทยร่วมทำกิจกรรมกับเด็กนักเรียนบ้านตะวันฉาย โดยร่วมบริจาคเสื้อผ้า ตุ๊กตา เครื่องเขียน และเงินจำนวนกว่า 8,500 บาทจากท่านผู้ปกครอง
ขอขอบพระคุณทุกท่านที่ทำให้โครงการนี้สำเร็จลุล่วงไปด้วยดี
Year 11 ร่วมทำกิจกรรมกับเด็กพม่าที่โรงเรียนบ้านบางโจ
คุณครูเจนิเฟอร์ แคมป์เบล ได้นำนักเรียนชั้น Year 11 ไปจัดกิจกรรมที่มีประโยชน์ร่วมกับนักเรียนพม่าที่โรงเรียนบ้านบางโจ นักเรียนทั้ง 2 โรงเรียนได้ร่วมกันทำกิจกรรมและเล่นเกมต่างๆอย่างสนุกสนานสนุกมากมาย และเป็นวันที่มีคุณค่ายิ่งสำหรับนักเรียนอีกวัน

สำหรับงานวันนานาชาติที่จะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 29 มีนาคมนี้ เราหวังว่าท่านจะได้รับรู้ข่าวสารเกี่ยวกับวันนานาชาติเมื่อสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว และได้เริ่มเตรียมพร้อมสำหรับกิจกรรมพิเศษนี้บ้างแล้ว
ในการนี้ ทางโรงเรียนได้เตรียมป้ายประชาสัมพันธ์เกี่ยวกับรายละเอียดสำหรับงานวันนานาชาติไว้ที่หน้าสนามฟุตบอล

ทีมเชียร์ลีดเดอร์ของโรงเรียนกำลังจะมีการแสดงเร็วๆนี้ เชียร์ลีดเดอร์น้อยทั้งหลายสามารถไปลองชุดกันได้ในวันที่ 18 กุมภาพันธ์นี้ ที่ห้องสมุดระดับประถม ตั้งแต่เวลา 12.30 น.-13.00 น.

“ผมอยากจะแจ้งให้ท่านทราบว่าเราได้มีการซ้อมวงดนตรีกับนักดนตรีรุ่นพี่ในทุกวันอังคารหลังเลิกเรียน หลังจากที่เราคัดเลือกสมาชิกใหม่ในวง ผมได้มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงสมาชิกในวงเล็กน้อยดังนี้”
