Weekly Update 22
Dear parents,
This weeks update brings you lots of news of the many activities the students have been involved in this past week.
Just a reminder that the mid term break is from the 15-19th of February. We hope that all of the parents and students have a restful break.
BKK trip for Year 7-8
Bon voyage to the Year 7-8 students who will be embarking on their journey to Bangkok to attend the Field Trip to the Barge on the Chao Phraya river. Please remember that if your child is attending this field trip you will need to drop them off at HeadStart at 7:45 am, Friday morning on the 15th of February. See the drop down for more details:
School Football League update
Please also note that the next game for the Football School league is at HIS where we will be playing Baan Dtalad Nua on the HeadStart pitch. Please check the following link for more details:

Chinese New Year Celebrations
A big thank you to Teachers Vicky and Aileen for organising such lovely activities for all of the students learning Chinese. The students learned how to make meat dumplings, they practiced fan dancing and some Kung Fu in the classroom. New learning facility for Foundation
Bubble fun!
This Valentine’s Day Reception classes joined in the Pre-School children’s bubble fun in our brand new Sala.
The Sala is situated in the playground area and will be used for story telling, focused work, role-play, arts and crafts, and many more fun activities during our outdoor learning sessions.
We asked some students what they thought of the new Sala…..
“It’s good because it has the shade” (Billy, Reception B.)
“It’s sweet, like a potato!” (Peemai, Reception B.)
“It’s nice, I like to play!” (Ryan, Reception B.)
“It’ll keep us nice because it’s warm.” (Tata, Reception A.)
“It’s like a car but a little bit bigger!” (Shaun, Reception A.)
After the bubble fun was over Reception Students continued their current Maths theme of finding ways to measure height. We measured many different objects around the playground, including our friends!
Early Years learns ‘All About Me!’
This week out theme is “All About Me” so we practiced everything we can do, including running jumping, climbing, tracing and playing Duck, Duck, Goose.
Year 1 makes Fruit Salad
The Year 1A class have been learning about the importance of eating healthy. Last week they went to FunStart and used the discovery kitchen to make their own healthy snacks! They made fruit kebabs dipped in yogurt and learned that eating healthy can be delicious too!

เรียน ท่านผู้ปกครองทุกท่าน
ในช่วงสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมานี้มีข่าวเกี่ยวกับกิจกรรมต่างๆ มากมายของนักเรียน และวันที่ 15-19 กุมภาพันธ์นี้ เป็นวันหยุดกลางภาค หวังว่าท่านผู้ปกครองและนักเรียนจะได้พักผ่อนกันอย่างเต็มที่ในช่วงวันหยุดนี้
ทัศนศึกษาที่กรุงเทพฯของนักเรียนชั้น Year 7-8
ขอให้นักเรียนชั้น Year 7-8 ที่จะไปทัศนศึกษาที่กรุงเทพทุกคนเดินทางโดยสวัสดิภาพ กับโปรแกรมล่องเรือในแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา หากบุตรหลานของท่านร่วมไปทัศนศึกษาครั้งนี้ด้วย ท่านผู้ปกครองโปรดมาส่งนักเรียนที่โรงเรียนในเช้าวันศุกร์ที่ 15 กุมภาพันธ์นี้ เวลา 07.45 น.
ข่าวสารการแข่งขันฟุตบอลลีคของโรงเรียน
การแข่งขันฟุตบอลคู่ต่อไปจะทำการแข่งขันที่สนามฟุตบอลของโรงเรียนเฮดสตาร์ท ซึ่งเราจะทำการแข่งขันกับโรงเรียนบ้านตลาดเหนือ สำหรับรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมเข้าดูได้ที่ลิ้งค์ด้านล่างนี้http://headstartphuket.com/phuket-schools-football-league/
*ทีมอายุต่ำกว่า 10 ปี จะไม่มีการแข่งขันในวันเสาร์ที่จะถึงนี้
*ทางโรงเรียนจะทำการแข่งขันใหม่ในนัดที่พลาดการแข่งขันกับโรงเรียนนานาชาติบริติช (BIS)ในอาทิตย์ที่ผ่านมา และจะทำการแข่งขันใหม่ในวันอังคารที่ 19 กุมภาพันธ์นี้ ที่สนามฟุตบอลโรงเรียนนานาชาติบริติช (BIS)

งานฉลองวันตรุษจีน
ขอขอบคุณ คุณครูวิกกี้ และ คุณครูไอลีน เป็นอย่างมาก ที่ได้จัดกิจกรรมให้นักเรียนได้เรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมจีน นักเรียนได้เรียนรู้การทำเกี้ยวซ่า การรำพัด และกังฟู ท่านสามารถเข้าไปชมกิจกรรมต่างๆในเทศการตรุษจีนที่ผ่านมานี้ได้ในลิงค์ของ YouTube
กิจกรรมฟองสบู่แสนสนุก
วันวาเลนไทน์ที่ผ่านมานี้นักเรียนชั้น Reception ได้ร่วมเล่นฟองสบู่ร่วมกันน้องๆเตรียมอนุบาล ที่ศาลาใหม่ของโรงเรียน ศาลานี้ตั้งอยู่ที่สนามเด็กเล่น สามารถใช้เล่านิทาน ทำกิจกรรม เล่นเกม ทำงานศิลปะ ทำงานฝีมือต่างๆ และสามารถทำกิจกรรมสนุกๆระหว่างการเรียนการสอนนอกห้องเรียนได้อีกมากมาย
เราได้สอบถามความคิดต่างๆของนักเรียนที่มีต่อศาลาหลังใหม่ของเรา
“มันดีเพราะมีที่ร่ม” (Billy, Reception B.)
“มันหวานเหมือนมันฝรั่ง” (Peemai, Reception B.)
“ก็ดีนะ ฉันชอบเล่น” (Ryan, Reception B.)

หลังจากจบกิจกรรมฟองสบู่แล้ว นักเรียนก็ได้เรียนส่วนหนึ่งในวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ เป็นการวัดสิ่งของต่างๆในสนามเด็กเล่น ซึ่งนั้นรวมถึงเพื่อนๆของพวกเขาด้วย
นักเรียนชั้น Early Years เรียนรู้เรื่อง “All About Me”
หัวข้อของการเรียนการสอนของนักเรียนชั้น Early Year ในสัปดาห์นี้คือ “All About Me” ทางโรงเรียนได้ฝึกฝนความสามารถต่างๆของนักเรียนที่สามารถทำได้ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น การวิ่ง การกระโดด การปีน การแกะรอยสิ่งต่างๆ และการเล่น Duck, Duck, Goose
Year 1 ทำสลัดผลไม้
นักเรียนชั้น Year 1A ได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับความสำคัญในการกินอาหารที่มีประโยชน์ สัปดาห์ที่แล้วนักเรียนได้ไปที่ ฟันสตาร์ท เพื่อทำของว่างที่มีประโยชน์ด้วยตัวเค้าเอง นักเรียนได้ทำสลัดผลไม้ จิ้มโยเกิร์ท และนักเรียนได้เรียนรู้ว่าอาหารที่มีประโยชน์ก็มีความอร่อยเช่นกัน
