U-Prep Talks Invitation
Applying to university can be stressful, for students but also their families. Application processes change quickly and with the growing international options available for students at HeadStart it is likely that parents will have to grapple with systems unfamiliar to them.
To help make the whole process of university applications less daunting, HeadStart is launching a series of “U-Prep Talks”. These are designed to be accessible to all parents who are thinking about university study, although they may be of particular interest to families with children in Year 10 and above.
Our next U-Prep Talk is this Thursday, 24 January between 8:15-8:45am in the Secondary Hall. The talk will be between 15-20 minutes and cover a range of in-depth topics relating to your child’s journey to university. This week we will be exploring the differences between university study in different parts of the world, including the UK, USA, Europe, Canada and Australia. We will explore information about the length of courses, compare costs, look at the different forms of assessment and how study programmes might vary depending on which country your child studies in.
