Hello and Sawadee ka! My name is Amy Drew and I became a part of the HeadStart team in 2014, when our school was located across from Makro on the old site. Witnessing the remarkable growth and evolution of the school has been a truly exhilarating experience for me. I've had the privilege of contributing to this journey as the school doubled in size. My origins trace back to Lincolnshire in the UK, where I pursued my GCSEs and A-Levels at a prestigious Grammar school. Subsequently, I pursued higher education at Loughborough University, focusing on Retail Management. Following my studies, I delved into a decade-long career in Buying and Merchandising, collaborating with renowned UK and international retailers. Eventually, my professional trajectory shifted gears. I embarked on a new journey by earning a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Nottingham University and stepping into the teaching realm at an International School in Bangkok. This year marks the commencement of a fresh chapter for me as I take on the role of Data Manager and Exams Officer. This position melds my analytical acumen nurtured during my industry tenure with my extensive educational experience, particularly within the context of HeadStart. Throughout my tenure here, I've had the opportunity to teach across various phases of the school, and it fills me with great joy to see some of the students I guided in Year 2 during 2014/15 now poised to undertake their GCSE exams later this year. The upcoming academic year holds immense promise, and I'm eagerly anticipating the chance to support the examination classes. These pivotal years mark a significant juncture in the lives of our students, and I am genuinely excited to contribute to their transformative journey.
