[email protected]

My name is Charlotte and I have been teaching for eleven years – five of which have been at HeadStart! As anyone who meets me knows; I truly love my job and I am a very happy and passionate teacher. I am a cheerful, positive and enthusiastic teacher which has consistently proven a successful approach when working with young children. I believe that when children find school fun and exciting they develop a love of learning, meaning they truly love coming to school. That is why that my style of teaching focuses on recognizing all the wonderful traits that each child has, and honing in on that. I like to give my students a strong sense of self-belief, using positive praise, recognition and reinforcement to demonstrate to them that they are worthy and that I believe in them; which leads to happy children who can achieve their full potential. I pride myself on building a positive learning environment in which children feel confident, safe and motivated. I am from England and went to University in Liverpool, where I studied a BA Honours in English and Creative Writing. To qualify as a teacher, I completed the Graduate Teacher Program (GTP) at a prestigious school in Buckingham. I then became a qualified life coach, completing an Advanced Diploma Level 5 in Life Coaching. Over my career, I know that I have a strength when working with children who may need further support. Whether it is behaviorally or emotionally, I am always able to help students overcome boundaries or distress and help navigate them through difficult times. This led me to recently complete my Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling for Teachers (PGDIP). Here I gained valuable skills that will allow me to support the children I work with even further. I have been working overseas for a long time; first in a local school in Chaiyaphum in Thailand, then I moved onto prestigious international schools in Vietnam, Spain, and the Middle East. However, nothing compares to Thailand, the country I love so much – I have no plans to move! I love the children, culture, parents, staff, the amazing community and I feel extremely blessed to be here.
