HeadStart 2015!

Message from the School Director

We are pleased to announce that we have now signed the contracts for the purchase of our new school property. We are currently finishing the architectural and engineering plans for the project and we will be submitting these for construction approval by early December. The construction of the new facilities is set to start by March 2014 and scheduled to be completed by May of 2015, in time for the beginning of the 2015 academic year. The cost of buying the land and building the new school facilities is budgeted to be 478,000,000 baht. 403,000,000 Baht which represents 84% of the total funding necessary to complete the project, has already been raised and is being funded by the current shareholders of the school, by our new partners the Anuphas Group and through a bank loan.

As many of you know, we hope to involve parents in the ownership, funding and development of the school. We have designed an attractive investment package for you as parents which will not only present a rewarding investment opportunity for you, but which will also allow us as a school to maintain our goal of providing quality educational programmes at an affordable price. The success of this project will rely on your participation. We would like to ask you to support us with making the new HeadStart School facilities a reality.

เรียนท่านผู้ปกครอง

ทางโรงเรียนนานาชาติเฮดสตาร์ทมีความยินดีที่จะแจ้งให้ท่านทราบว่า ทางโรงเรียนได้ทำการเซ็นต์สัญญา เกี่ยวกับสถาปัตยกรรมและวิศวกรรมต่างๆ โดยเราจะยื่นแบบดังกล่าวเพื่อขอรับใบอนุญาตก่อสร้างภายในต้นเดือนธันวาคมนี้ ทั้งนี้ เราได้วางแผนเริ่มต้นการก่อสร้างไว้ภายในเดือนมีนาคม 2557 และกำหนดแล้วเสร็จภายในเดือนพฤษภาคม 2558 เพื่อให้ทันสำหรับการเรียนการสอนปีการศึกษา 2558 สำหรับงบประมาณในการซื้อที่ดินและก่อสร้างอาคารโรงเรียนแห่งใหม่นี้ คือ 478,000,000 บาท โดยงบประมาณจำนวน 403,000,000 บาท หรือคิดเป็นร้อยละ 84 ของงบประมาณทั้งหมดในการดำเนินการให้โครงการนี้จะได้รับการสนับสนุนจากผู้ถือหุ้นปัจจุบันของโรงเรียน กลุ่มบริษัทอนุภาษ และเงินกู้ยืมจากธนาคาร

ตามที่หลายท่านทราบดี ทางโรงเรียนต้องการให้ผู้ปกครองมีส่วนร่วมในความเป็นเจ้าของ สนับสนุนและร่วมกันพัฒนาโรงเรียน เราจึงได้ออกแบบโครงสร้างการลงทุนที่มีความน่าสนใจสำหรับท่านในฐานะผู้ปกครอง โดยการลงทุนนี้ไม่เพียงแต่จะเป็นโอกาสของท่านในฐานะผู้ปกครองที่จะลงทุนและได้รับผลตอบแทนกลับคืน แต่ยังทำให้โรงเรียนสามารถดำรงไว้ซึ่งเป้าหมายในการให้การศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพในค่าใช้จ่ายที่สมเหตุสมผล ความสำเร็จของการดำเนินการในครั้งนี้จะบรรลุได้หรือไม่ขึ้นอยู่กับการตัดสินใจมีส่วนร่วมของผู้ปกครองทุกๆท่าน เราอยากขอรับการสนับสนุนจากท่านเพื่อให้โครงการโรงเรียนแห่งใหม่ของเฮดสตาร์ทกลายเป็นความจริงขึ้นมาได้พ

Accounting Department

We would like to inform you that the Accounting department has moved to the downstairs office. Please contact Khun Mai in the downstairs office for payment or questions regarding accounting. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Lice

The school periodically checks the students for lice to ensure we do not spread this very common problem. During one of our regular monthly checks, our school nurse has found a few students infected with head lice.

Please help the school to keep this issue under control by checking your child’s hair for lice this weekend. If he or she has lice, please make the effort to do the treatment so that by Monday all students are lice-free.

Thai Department News

Students, parents and teachers enjoyed some Thai dancing from the Year 11 class, making Gratongs in their class and a Gratong making competition!This year the Thai department organised a ‘Gratong Making Competition’ on Monday the 18th of November, 2013. There were 15 Primary and Secondary teams entered in the competition. Thank you to all of the students who took part in this activity. We hope everyone enjoyed the fun and experienced some Thai cultural values.Congratulations to the winners!

Year 3 in Humanities Class

In Humanities as part of our ancient Egyptian learning adventure students have been learning about the importance of the Nile River to the ancient Egyptians. This week we made a ‘Shaduf” a water lifting machine, invented by the ancient Egyptians which is still used today. Katja Clark, Year 3B teacher

Duke of Edinburgh

On the 16th of November, last Saturday, Darren Edouard, Ruslan Malakhovskiy-Lyulko , Ken Rotman, Andrew Marshal, Chayangkul Tanachayangkul (Oap), Raoul Butti and Abhishek Nathur, all Year 10 students started their Duke of Edinburgh program. They visited the SOS Village and interacted with the students by making Gratongs, playing football and practicing speaking English with the students. Well done boys!
