My name is Alma G. Oliva, I am from Masbate in the Philippines and am married and blessed with four children. I gained the degree of Bachelor of Arts Major in English at Mountain View, Valencia, Bukidnon, Philippines. I believe in the saying, “In this world nothing is constant, everything keeps on changing,” this is especially true in the field of teaching. As a teacher, we should never stop learning; we should make equip ourselves with knowledge, for we will be passing that knowledge and a love of learning on to our students. Having worked as a Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary teacher in private schools in the Philippines for 9 years, I first came to Thailand in April 2007. Initially I worked in Bangkok as a Primary and Secondary Music teacher. Then I moved to Phuket and HeadStart International School in 2010 to work as a Deputy Teacher. This year I am looking forward to my new role as Deputy Teacher in Year 1 White. Aside from teaching, singing and playing musical instruments are my favourite hobbies. I am sure that the school will have continued success this year and into the future, as we seek to develop harmonious relationships between teachers and parents and work together to help our students to achieve their dreams.
