My name is Kay Forster and I am the Year 5 yellow Homeroom teacher at HeadStart International School. I have been part of the HeadStart community for one year now. I am originally from Cheshire, England. However, I began my journey teaching five years ago in Manchester. There I began working as a teaching assistant, specialising in the education of students who have additional learning needs and English as an additional language. It was then that I discovered my own love of learning. I completed a Certificate in Education, graduating from The University of Huddersfield in 2017; alongside this I also completed a TEFL qualification. After the completion of my degree I promptly applied for international teaching in order to marry my passions of travel and teaching. I feel incredibly passionate about the inclusion and equality of all learners and I strive to ensure that the learning environment is welcoming, exciting, engaging and inclusive. Throughout the course of the year I will ensure that the pupils at HeadStart International School will develop a love for inquiry, questioning, challenges and collaboration. I look forward to another year where I can continue to develop my own skills both culturally, personally and professionally, and to continue meeting and working within the diverse HeadStart community.
