Hello everyone! I am Sasiwimon Khongmueang. You can simply call me Tarnya. Firstly, I would like to deeply express my gratitude to The HeadStart International School Phuket for giving me this great opportunity working as a Head of Thai and a teacher for Thai as a foreign language courses for Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9. I have joined The HeadStart on 1 August 2017. On my first day at school, I feel very warm welcome as well as an inviting international learning and teaching environment here. I am originally from Chiang Mai, northern region of Thailand. I hold a bachelor degree in German and minor subject in Travel Industry Management from Chiang Mai University, Thailand (CMU) and I got a master degree in Educational Psychology and Guidance (EDPG) from Chiang Mai University as well. I have been actively and consistently engaged in an educational community and academia since my first degree. I have more than 15 years of teaching experiences. I used to work as a Head of a Foreign Language Lower Level Department and an English teacher for lower level and upper level secondary students at Wachirawit Secondary School in Chiang Mai. After that, I worked as a lecturer at The College of Arts, Media and Technology at Chiang Mai University for 4 years where I taught Introduction to Tourism, Tutorial Classes for Fundamental English, English Listening and Speaking Skill Course for undergraduate students. In addition to that, I attended teacher training courses in “Myths, Expectations and Challenges; An Introduction to The Multicultural/Multilingual Classroom and English as The Medium of Instruction and “Boost Your Lecturing Skills in English; Tools, Linguistic Strategies and Intercultural Competence for Meeting The Challenges for Lecturing in the International Classroom” in Denmark. I am a well organised and easy-going person who enjoys working with people from diverse background in a multi -cultural workplace. I would very much wish to devoting my professional academic experiences to work for The HeadStart and make our students happy and success.
