Basic Instructions – Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2)

Homeroom

Pupils should log in to their Google Classroom each morning at 8:00am for their morning Homeroom and attendance to be taken, and to be greeted by their homeroom teacher. Here pupils can ask any questions they may have about any element of their online learning. If they have any difficulties accessing this, they can contact [email protected]

Subject Lessons

In Key Stage 1 the day’s activities are available from 7.30am every morning. Pupils can either follow their class timetable, or access the activities at any time and so create their own timetable for the day. All pupils have access to three Google Classrooms; their Homeroom, their Language classroom and their PE classroom. In each lesson their will either be a video instructing pupils or a live introduction from their teacher. Pupils join a Google Meet with their subject teacher and are guided through the lesson content by their teacher.

Pupils will be instructed to complete tasks, participate in discussions and submit the necessary work by given deadlines. The class teacher will upload lesson materials, instructions and support videos for each lesson.

Subject Lessons

In Key Stage 2 the pupils follow their Online Learning timetable as shared with them and available below. All pupils have access to three Google Classrooms; their Homeroom, their Language classroom and their PE classroom. In each lesson their will either be a live introduction from their teacher or video instructing pupils. Pupils join a Google Meet with their subject teacher and are guided through the lesson content by their teacher. Pupils will be instructed to complete tasks, participate in discussions and submit the necessary work by given deadlines.
