Update from the Food Committee
Finding the right Executive Chef for a school as Internationally and culturally diverse as HeadStart will always be a challenge.
We just want to inform you that we are in process of interviewing potential candidates who can fill the position of HeadStart Chef. Potential candidates will be required to come and work in the kitchen so that we can see their working style and determine whether or not they are the correct person for the job.
We hope to have a newly appointed Chef in action by Term 3.

Year 8 Does Screen Printing
A big thank you to the PMA Screen printing shop who invited the Year 8 students to come and try out screen printing in his shop in Chalong.
The students were given free T-shirts and a demonstration of how screen printing works. Phillip in Year 8 designed the T-shirts–Well done Phillip!

In the Foundation Department we are replenishing our ‘Dress Up’ stock! If you have any dress up clothes that you do not want or use any more please donate them to our Foundation Department for the children to use. You can bring them any Foundation classroom.

Checkpoint exams in the first week of term 3
The Year 6 students will be taking their checkpoint exams in the first week of Term 3. Stay tuned for more details from the Head of Primary.
Secondary Swimming Gala
HeadStart will host it’s first Swimming Gala at FunStart on the 4th and 5th of April. Parents are welcome to come and watch from the restaurant area.
**Primary will be on the 4th of April: **
Year 1 and 2 from 8:30-9:30 am
Year 3 and 4 from 9:30-10:15 am
Year 5 and 6 from 10:45-12:00 am
Secondary will be on the 5th of April. Times and Years will be announced.
Year 3B does Assembly and Raises Funds for Charity
Y3b assembly was about Comic Relief a UK charity which raises money and awareness about kids less fortunate than ourselves in Africa and the UK. Their mission is to make a positive difference to children’s lives through the power of entertainment. Every year they have a charity event called RED NOSE DAY, which this year was on March 15th.
People get involved all over the UK buying and wearing red noses and doing all sorts of wacky things to raise money. 3B decided that they would also like to make a positive difference to
childrens lives on Phuket. They have chosen to help the children at Phuket Sunshine Village. We have started a collection of used clothes and toys. The collection bags are located downstairs next to the Art room.
The Red Nose day slogan is “Do something funny for money’, Class 3B did ‘Something entertaining to get you donating’. The children did a marvelous job singing and dancing to One Directions version of ‘One Way or Another’, wearing red noses…..of course!
Thank you for helping us to make a positive difference by donating some clothes and used toys.

ทางโรงเรียนเฮดสตาร์ทกำลังทำการคัดเลือกหัวหน้าพ่อครัวที่สามารถทำอาหารได้หลากหลายประเภท ทั้งอาหารไทยและอาหารนานาชาติ
เฮดสตาร์ทจึงขอแจ้งให้ทราบว่าเรากำลังอยู่ในขั้นตอนการสัมภาษณ์ผู้สมัครในตำแหน่งหัวหน้าพ่อครัว ซึ่งผู้เข้าสมัครจำเป็นจะต้องเข้ามาร่วมแสดงฝีมือในการอาหารในครัวเฮดสตาร์ท ทางโรงเรียนได้พิจารณาคุณลักษณะของแต่ละบุคคล เพื่อจะได้เลือกคนที่มีความเหมาะสมที่สุดในตำแหน่งนี้

การบริจาคเครื่องแต่งการที่แผนก Foundation
ในแผนกอนุบาลต้องการเสื้อผ้าเครื่องแต่งการเพิ่มเติม หากท่านมีเสื้อผ้าที่ไม่ใช้แล้วกรุณาบริจาคได้ที่แผนกอนุบาล เพื่อให้เด็กๆได้ใช้แต่งกายตามจินตนาการของพวกเขา ท่านสามารถนำไปมอบให้ที่ห้องเรียนชั้นอนุบาลห้องใดก็ได้

การสอบเข้าในสัปดาห์แรกของเทอม3
งานปาร์ตี้ที่สระว่ายน้ำของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยม
โรงเรียนจะจัดงานปาร์ตี้ข้างสระน้ำขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรกที่ฟันสตาร์ท ในวันที่ 4 และ 5 เมษายนนี้ ท่านผู้ปกครองสามารถมาร่วมงานและนั่งชมได้จากบริเวณร้านอาหารของทางสระว่ายน้ำ
ระดับประถมศึกษาวันที่ 4 เมษายน
ระดับชั้น Year 1 - 2 เวลา 8.30-9.30 น.
ระดับชั้น Year 3 - 4 เวลา 9.30-10.15 น.
ระดับชั้น Year 5 – 6 เวลา 10.45-12.00 น.
ระดับมัธยมศึกษาวันที่ 5 เมษายน เวลาและระดับชั้นจะแจ้งให้ท่านทราบอีกครั้ง
การประชุมประจำสัปดาห์ของนักเรียนชั้น Year 3 และการร่วมกองทุนเพื่อการกุศล
นักเรียนชั้น Y3b ประชุมประจำศัปดาห์เกี่ยวกับการกุศลของ Comic Relief a UK เพื่อช่วยเหลือเด็กในประเทศแอฟริกาและอังกฤษ ภาระกิจของเขาคือการทำให้เด็กๆมีแนวคิดในแง่บวก ในทุกๆปีจะมีการจัดงานเพื่อการกุศลซึ่งเรียกว่า RED NOSE DAY ซึ่งในปีนี้ตรงกับวันที่ 15 มีนาคม บุคคลที่เกี่ยวข้องทั้งหมดได้จัดซื้อและใส่จมูกสีแดงและแสดงท่าทางตลกๆเพื่อหารายได้เข้ากองทุน
นักเรียนชั้น Year 3B จึงตัดสินใจช่วยเด็กๆที่ Phuket Sunshine Village ด้วยการรับบริจาคเสื้อผ้าและของเล่น ท่านสามารถนำสิ่งของไปบริจาคได้ที่ถุงรับบริจาคข้างห้องดนตรี
สโลแกนของ The Red Nose day คือ การทำอะไรตลกๆเพื่อหารายได้เข้ากองทุน นักเรียนชั้น Year 3B ได้ทำการแสดงเพื่อขอรับเงินบริจาค โดยการร้องและเต้นประกอบเพลง ‘One Way or Another’ และแน่นอนว่าพวกเขาต้องสวมจมูกแดงด้วย
ขอขอบพระคุณทุกท่านที่ร่วมบริจาคทั้งเสื้อผ้าและของเล่นที่ท่านไม่ใช้แล้ว
