Ballet Recital
By Ms Fabienne Mester, Dance Academy Coordinator
To celebrate the end of the year, the award celebration with the Baby Ballet, Pink Ballet, White Ballet and Blue Ballet classes will happen on Friday 15th June from 3.30pm to 5.00pm, so you can appreciate and be proud of the effort and progress of your child.
This year the 46 ballerinas will present a little ballet recital called “Wonderland”.
Like last year, the ballerinas will perform twice in the Dance Studio 1 on the 4th Floor; once at 3.30pm in front of the parents of the Baby ballet and Pink Ballet students, and a second time at 3.45pm in front of the parents of the White and Blue Ballet students, so everyone can enjoy at ease the performance of their child. We will conclude this presentation with awards as these little ballerinas deserve a great recognition for their dedication and training during this past year followed by a “A Mad Tea Party” with cakes and drinks.
Grace Villa Charity Year 9 Vintage Sale
There will be a second hand ‘vintage’ sale run by Year 9 students on Friday 25th May during the Friday Market after school. They are raising money for a charity called Grace Villa which is based in Uganda. They work to provide a safe place for girls who have been victims of abuse/left with the responsibility of running households in the absence of parents. (Click here to find out more details)[http://gracevillauganda.weebly.com/]
They are relying on donations so if you have anything that you wish to donate they would greatly appreciate it. Donations can be placed in the house boxes in the atrium. You can bring old clothes, house hold items, books, toys etc. All money raised goes to the Grace Villa foundation. If you don’t have much to part with just pop down and have a look at whats on sale. We’ve had a huge donation of old school CD’s which won’t disappoint!
Thanks in advance for your support.

Early Years Blue had lots of fun on their field trip this week. We learnt all about firefighters, fire engines, and lots of other equipment firefighters need! We really loved using the hose and changing its settings to shoot the water fast or slow getting Ms. Angela very wet in the process!

Reception blue have had a great time learning about people who help us, especially the postman. We wrote letters to our family, wrote our address on envelopes and posted the letters. Magically they will go to the real post office and arrive at our houses very soon. Keep checking your post box!

In English this week, Year 6 have been writing their own versions of the John Agard, ‘Rat Race’. They have written poems entitled ‘Dog Dash’ about humans getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of work. Perhaps we could all learn from our canine friends how to slow down and to relax a little more.
