Music and Arts Celebration Day Announcement–Jackie Feliciano (Music teacher)
The Music and Arts Celebration Day will take place next Thursday, the 30th of May from 12:00 noon. The program will start with a rock concert from our community artists and follow with Art exhibitions, talent showcase from our students and teachers. There will be Balloon twisting, face painting and more. Parents are more than welcome to join!
We ask you to please drive slowly or park outside, as all our students will be outside that day!
Run for Richard Update–Kayleigh Damant (P.E. teacher)
On Behalf of the PE team, we would like say a huge thank you to those who have been so supportive in assisting us in helping raise funds for Richard, I know he is equally as grateful for all the support! A special thank you to those who have already made such generous donations, we are very grateful for this! If you would like to make further donations, we will be collecting money over the next three weeks so any offers will be much appreciated!
Miki has been collecting some lovely prizes and I would like to say thank you to her as well for her assistance. A prize up for grabs is a two night stay at the lovely Panwa Beach Resort in a deluxe beach front room and this includes breakfast as well as a meal voucher of 1,500baht. Thank you to Mr Claude Sauter for this generous donation! Another prize up for grabs is a whole term’s worth of an after school class of your choice paid for, kindly donated by Headstart International school.

Late Pick Up of your children–Management
We provide free after school care in the primary library from 3.15 until 4.30 every school day. Children picked up after 4.30 are considered to have been in an after school club and will therefore need to pay 300 THB per time.
As of Monday the 27th of May 2013, parents that pick up their child after 4.30 will need to pay the 300 THB directly to Ms. Jelo or Ms. Clyde.

Thai Culture Club–Thai Department
Year 6 Science Class–Kate Dietrich (Year 6A teacher)
Students were each given a mystery pellet and through research discovered it was an owl pellet. Students then very carefully dissected their pellet to learn about the diet of their owl. Students found bones, including skulls, backbones and tails as well as fur. They identified the bones and made a frequency table to organise their data. Finally we used a special science key to identify the skull to discover the exact animal eaten by their owl. Students were a little grossed out, but at the same time very excited. But best of all, they were acting and thinking like real scientists. :)
Thai Classes–Khru Nid
Once a week, the students in the Year 2 ‘Thai advanced classes will get to learn Thai by using tablets. The students have their own and are allowed to bring them home to study with their parents. There are many programs that can support Thai learning such as reading programmes, grammar and games.
นักเรียนชั้น Year 2 ที่เรียนโปรแกรมไทยหลัก จะได้เรียนวิชาภาษาไทยโดยใช้แทบเล็ตสัปดาห์ละหนึ่งครั้ง นักเรียนทุกคนจะมีแทบเล็ตเป็นของตัวเองและสามารถนำกลับบ้านเพื่อเรียนรู้กับคุณพ่อคุณแม่ได้ นอกเหนือจากโปรแกรมการเรียนการสอนที่น่าสนใจ เช่น หนังสืออ่านและแบบฝึกหัดต่างๆแล้ว นักเรียนจะได้สนุกสนานกับเกมต่างๆมากมายอีกด้วย

On Thursday the 23rd of May the Year 3 students were doing practical maths problem solving activities, involving 2D and 3D shapes, measurement, weight and time, as well as solving word problems.** **
Reception Outdoor Learning–Laura Rutherford
The children started off finding out where the magnetic toys would ‘stick’. They decided that their decorations looked like Christmas, so they sang carols as they put up their ‘Christmas lights’. inside ‘Santa’s Grotto’. Later the children decided to try and put the tent over the rope climbing frame. They worked together to organize themselves and managed to pull the parachute right over the top of the climbing frame without any help from the Teachers! Great problem solving and team work Reception classes!

ทางโรงเรียนได้จัดให้มีคุณครูที่คอยดูแลนักเรียนทุกวันหลังเลิกเรียน เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกให้แก่ผู้ปกครองโดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย ตั้งแต่เวลา 15.15 น. – 16.30 น. ที่ห้องสมุด ดังนั้นนักเรียนที่ผู้ปกครองมารับหลังจากเวลา 16.30 น. จะพิจารณาให้จ่ายค่าดูแลนักเรียนพิเศษหลังเลิกเรียน จำนวน 300 บาท ต่อครั้ง โดยจะเริ่มตั้งแต่วันจันทร์ ที่ 27 พฤษภาคม 2556 เป็นต้นไป ผู้ปกครองที่มารับนักเรียนหลังเวลา 16.30 น. ต้องจ่ายเงิน 300 บาทให้แก่คุณครูเจโลและคุณครูคลายด์ที่ดูแลนักเรียนเป็นค่าล่วงเวลา

งานฉลองของแผนกดนตรีและศิลปะจะจัดขึ้นในวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 30 พฤษภาคมนี้ ตั้งแต่เวลา 12.00 น. ตารางการแสดงจะเริ่มจากร็อคคอนเสิร์ตและตามด้วยผลงานศิลปะ การแสดงความสามารถของนักเรียนและคุณครู ในงานจะมีลูกโป่งประดิษฐ์ การแต่งหน้าแฟนซี ขอเรียนเชิญท่านผู้ปกครองเข้าร่วมงานนี้ด้วย
ขอความร่วมมือกับท่านผู้ปกครองทุกท่านช่วยขับรถในโรงเรียนอย่างช้าๆ และด้วยความระมัดระวัง หรือกรุณาจอดรถด้านนอก เพราะงานจะจัดด้านนอกอาคารเรียน

กิจกรรม Saturday Thai Culture Camp (จากแผนกไทย)
วิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้น Year 6(จากคุณ ครู เคท)
นักเรียนแต่ละคนได้รับชิ้นส่วนปริศนา และได้ทำการวิจัยค้นพบว่ามันเป็นชิ้นส่วนของนกฮูก จากนั้นนักเรียนได้คัดแยกชิ้นส่วนปริศนาต่างๆอย่างระมัดระวัง และยังได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับอาหารจากนกฮูกของพวกเขา นักเรียนพบชิ้นส่วนของกระดูก กะโหลก กระดูกสันหลัง และหาง พวกเขาได้จัดวางเรียงกระดูกและทำตารางในการจัดระเบียบข้อมูลของพวกเขา ในที่สุดเราใช้หลักการพิเศษทางวิทยาศาสตร์ที่จะหาข้อมูลกะโหลกศีรษะที่เป็นอาหารของนกฮูก นักเรียนได้ทำการวิจัยเล็ก ๆ น้อย ๆ แต่เป็นที่น่าตื่นเต้นมาก ในที่สุดพวกเขาได้ทำและคิดค้นเช่นเดียวกันกับนักวิทยาศาสตร์จริงๆ

วิชาคณิตศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้น Year 3A (จากคุณครูคัทจา)
วันพฤหัสบดีที่ 23 พฤษภาคม นักเรียนชั้น Year 3 ได้เรียนวิธีแก้โจทย์ปัญหาในวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ รวมทั้งรูปทรง 2 มิติและ 3มิติ การวัด การช่างน้ำหนักและเรียนเรื่องเวลา
นักเรียนชั้น Reception เรียนรุ้นอกห้องเรียน (จากคุณครูลอร่า)
เด็กๆได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับสถานที่ที่สามารถใช้ติดแม่เหล็กของเล่นได้ และเด็กๆได้ตกแต่งจนกระทั่งพวกเขาคิดว่าคล้ายกับต้นคริสมาสต์ เด็กๆจึงร่วมกันร้องเพลงวันคริสมาสต์ จากนั้นเด็กๆได้ลองกางเต็นท์ด้วยเชือก พวกเขาสามารถทำงานร่วมกันเป็นทีม พร้อมทั้งยังสามารถแก้ไขปัญหาได้ด้วยตัวของพวกเขาเองโดยที่คุณครูไม่ต้องช่วยเหลือ
