**Finger Scanner Progress **We would like to request that all parents and guardians please take the time to contact the security team at the school entrance to get your finger scanned with our newly established security system, at your earliest possible convenience, so that we can complete the process.
**Yearbook Sponsorship Finalised! **We would like to thank all of the sponsors that have contributed towards the production of the Yearbook. We have received an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response to this project and have filled our advertising quota in a short period of time. We look forward to presenting the finalised Yearbook on the 28th of June at the Music and Arts Celebration Day.
**A Fond Farewell to Mr Millington
**HeadStart would like to wish Mr Ralph Millington a fond farewell as he travels to Indonesia to take on his new position as Head of School. He has been successful in securing this highly esteemed position in an established International School and we wish him all the best of luck. Ralph has been instrumental in securing a successful outcome from the CfBT and ONESQA accreditation team, a 100% score from the Thai School’s Inspector’s OPEC visit as well as the top score possible from the Cambridge last week.

Preschool Blast Into Outer Space by Lisa Parsons, Preschool Teacher ** ** **Today in Art class, Preschool Astronauts blasted off for the space station. Te-Te and Alina followed instructions about only painting round the astronaut. ** Well done!

Year 5 Visits the Incinerator by Heidi St. Hill, Year 5A Teacher** **Year 5 has been learning about how people reduce, reuse and recycle products from everyday life. But what about the products we don’t recycle? Garbage! What do we do with all the garbage that is collected in Phuket? We found out just what happens to the 550 tonnes of garbage collected daily. It goes to Phuket’s Incinerator Plant where it gets burned, which creates steam that eventually makes electricity which we use to power Phuket!

**Thai Parents Weekly Meeting **We would like to invite all interested Secondary parents to a presentation about PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education). This meeting will take place in the Library on Tuesday the 3rd of June from 8:30-9:30 am.
Year 2 Thai Class Fun *by Khru Yao Somkid, Thai teacher *Students in the Year 2 Thai intermediate class studied vowels and consonants. They practiced their spelling and reading. Well done students!

Year 1 Goes Fishing by Khru Nid, Thai teacher The Year 1 Thai as a First Language class with Kru Nid went on a field trip to Rawai beach. They learned about fishing and people who work as fishermen.

คำอำลาแด่ Mr Millington
Mr Ralph Millington ต้องเดินทางไปทำงานที่ประเทศอินโดนิเชีย ในตำแหน่งครูใหญ่ เขาได้ประสบความสำเร็จในการดำรงตำแหน่งระดับสูงในการจัดตั้งโรงเรียนนานาชาติเราหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าเขาจะพบเจอแต่สิ่งดีดี Mr Ralph เป็นกำลังสำคัญที่ทำให้โรงเรียนประสบความสำเร็จจากการตรวจมาตรฐานโรงเรียนโดยคณะที่มาจาก CfBT และ ONESQA, ได้รับคะแนนเต็ม 100 เปอร์เซ็นต์ จากสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการศึกษาเอกชนและเป็นไปได้ว่าทางโรงเรียนจะได้คะแนนสูงสุดจากการตรวจโรงเรียนโดยเจ้าหน้าที่จาก เคมบริจด์เมื่อสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา

นักเรียนดีเด่นประจำเดือนของ Preschool
นักเรียนดีเด่นประจำเดือนคือ Chaiyapat Ngernanek (Te Te) และ Alina Johnson พวกเขาสื่อสารและเข้าใจในทั้งภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาไทยได้ดีเกินคาด
การเลื่อนตำแหน่งพนักงาน
ทุกท่านคงรู้จักป้าหลี ป้าหลีทำงานในแผนกแม่บ้านกับโรงเรียนเฮดสตาร์ทมาเป็นเวลา 4 ปี และในสัปดาห์นี้เราขอประกาศให้ทราบว่าป้าหลีจะย้ายมาร่วมทีมกับแผนกอนุบาลในตำแหน่งพี่เลี้ยงในห้องเตรียมอนุบาล เรายินดีด้วยกับป้าหลีในการเลื่อนตำแหน่งค่ะ

นักเรียนชั้น Year 5 เยี่ยมชมเตาเผาขยะ
นักเรียนชั้น Year 5 เรียนเกี่ยวกับการใช้ซ้ำ นำกลับมาใช้ใหม่กับสิ่งของที่ใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน แต่มีสิ่งของบางอย่างที่ไม่สามารถนำกลับมาใช้ใหม่ได้ ดังนั้นเราทำอะไรกับขยะที่มีในภูเก็ต เราได้พบว่าในแต่ละวันมีขยะมากถึง 550 ตัน จะถูกส่งไปเผาที่เตาเผาขยะ ซึ่งใช้ระบบไอน้ำในการเผาทำลายและกระบวนการนี้สามารถนำมาสร้ากระแสไฟฟ้าเพื่อใช้ในภูเก็ตอีกด้วย

การประชุมประจำสัปดาห์ของผู้ปกครองไทย
ทางโรงเรียนขอเรียนเชิญท่านผู้ปกครองนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาที่สนใจเข้าร่วมประชุมเกี่ยวกับวิชา PSHE ซึ่งเราจะจัดประชุมในวันที่ 3 มิถุนายน 2557 ตั้งแต่เวลา 08.30 น. – 09.30 น.
