Taking a Break in the Playground

In our Foundation Stage classrooms, play forms an essential part of every school day - no more so than at breaktimes when our children get the opportunity to monkey around their brand new forest-themed playground! Through play, children learn about the world and themselves. They also learn skills they need for study, work and relationships such as: confidence, self-esteem, resilience, interaction, social skills, independence, curiosity, coping with challenging situations.

Taking a Little Wandle into Phonics

The Reception students have been putting in a lot of effort during their Little Wandle phonics sessions. They’ve been actively learning their set 2 phonics sounds, connecting them with pictures that correspond to the initial letter. They are even beginning to blend these sounds to create words. Keep up the fantastic work children!

Play-based Learning and Continuous Provision in Preschool

Play-based learning and continuous provision are crucial in early childhood education as they engage children in active, hands-on exploration, which helps to foster creativity, social development, and problem-solving skills. This particular morning, preschool explored painting with flowers and reading together. Circle time is our morning practice every day to engage our preschool students in group reading activities and songs. It encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development, promotes effective communication, and builds a sense of community within the group.

Foundation Wai Kru Ceremony

On Monday 2nd October, Foundation children, parents and teachers took part in a truly beautiful occasion that brought our community together in a spirit of love and appreciation. Eoin and Areeya from Reception class were so brave as they stood in front of everyone, delivering heartfelt speeches in English and Thai. They were followed by our very own Early Years teacher, Miss Rachael, who also spoke so eloquently in both Thai and English. The highlight of the event was the children’s endearing performance of the song “Thank You Teacher, Thank You”, a delightful gesture to express the children’s gratitude to their dedicated teachers.

Stay & Play

Throughout the week, children in our Foundation Stage have been joined in school by their parents who have come to some stay and play! Each morning, the creative juices were flowing and the room was filled with laughter and the vibrant sounds of a community coming together. Thanks to all parents who joined this wonderful first Stay & Play event and to our Foundation team for their hard work and effort to make it all happen.

Reception Class Being Inquisitive and Respectful at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary

Reception class had an amazing first field trip to meet the elephants at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary! What a wonderful opportunity for the children to get up close and connect with these magnificent creatures, learning about their unique features. It was wonderful to see how the children displayed great listening skills, politeness, and respect during the visit. Interactions like these are not only incredibly educational but can inspire young minds. It was doubtless an unforgettable experience for the children, and we are sure they’ll cherish the memories for a long time to come.
