I am Suzi the Homeroom Teacher for Early Years Yellow in my third year at Headstart. I was born in London and graduated from The University of Arts, London with a degree in Design. I moved to Thailand in 2011, taught yoga and freelanced as a designer and writer. After the birth of my daughter in 2015, I taught kindergarten on an English program in Nakhon Si Thammarat and found my passion in teaching and learning younger children. I returned to the UK in 2017 to gain more experience in UK curriculum schools. I completed my Level 3 Diploma in Early Education and secured a position at a Surrey Primary school. I worked as a Reception teacher and completed my specialist Early Years Teacher Training qualification. This year I will start my Masters in Education from Oxford Brookes University. I am enthusiastic for the children in my care to enjoy their early school experiences. I believe in positive relationships between home and school to ensure children develop in a nurturing environment where their interests are encouraged and their curiosity stimulated. I feel children learn best through play and being able to explore. As an Early Years teacher I want to guide a child's exploration, using valuable opportunities to encourage early Maths and English. I always encourage positive social interactions and being kind to each other and I will often be found reading books and singing songs to the children in my class. I am happy to be a part of a thriving international school community as a teacher
