I come from England and I have worked as a teacher in Phuket since 2001. I worked as an EAL teacher for 3 years and then as a foundation and preschool teacher for 3 years. I have been working as an Art teacher with Headstart since 2008 during which time I have enjoyed being part of the school’s expansion. I have always been passionate about art, I studied Fine Art at the University of Brighton in the UK during which time I spent six months studying at Alfred University in New York State. Although my main subject was painting, my studies included working with a wide variety of media including clay, printmaking and sculpture. I am dedicated to providing a classroom environment which is stimulating and inspiring to students, which encourages creative expression and allows students to explore and develop their ideas and learn about the work of different artists and cultures.
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up” --Pablo Picasso
