I can find no better calling in life than the education of young people. I have spent almost a decade living in the northwest of England but I am originally from Southampton on the south coast. I have a bachelor’s honours in French and German from the Manchester Metropolitan University and I spent some time in a German school, which led me to complete a PGCE in secondary language teaching. I believe that when you acquire another language, you acquire another soul. My aim in my instruction is not just the transmission of knowledge, but also to pass on the passion I have for my subject to our students. I enjoy walking, being outdoors and around nature. I also really enjoy cooking, listening to music and meeting new people. It’s a privilege to have been given the opportunity to work in such a beautiful and inspiring school in such a wonderful part of the world. I look forward to forming relationships with my classes and making the classroom an enjoyable place to be. I believe this is paramount, as although learning a new language can be arduous, learning can be facilitated if a student feels comfortable and can truly reach their potential.
