Secondary Online Learning
Students should log in to their homeroom Google Classroom each morning at 7:55 AM for their attendance to be taken and to be greeted by their homeroom teacher. Here they can ask any questions they may have about any element of online learning. All students have been given their Google Classroom code for this. If they have any difficulties accessing this, they can contact [email protected].
Students are to follow their E-Learning Timetable. Here they will be completing their subjects as per the instructions from their teachers. All subjects have a Google Classroom and students are members of these. Each lesson, students join a Google Meet with their subject teacher which they can locate from those subjects Google Classroom and are guided through the lesson content by that teacher. They will be instructed to complete tasks, participate in discussions and submit the necessary work by given deadlines. The class teacher will upload lesson materials, instructions and support videos for each lesson. The majority of subjects follow the same format as in school however there are some exceptions.
Key Stage 3 - Homework is still set via the Google Classrooms for English, Maths, Science and First Language Subjects as would happen normally.
Key Stage 4 & 5 - Homework is set following the homework timetable for KS4 students and KS5 students receive directed tasks by their subject teachers.
