All children are invited to dress in Christmas colours for the day. Parents are also welcome to join in the festive fun!
We will finish off the day with a special Christmas Market, where you will be able to buy a range of Christmas-themed food items and, for last-minute shoppers, beautiful handcrafted Christmas gifts for your family!

They are looking for vendors to sell Christmas-themed food, drinks and gifts, as well as set up activities for the children to enjoy. If you feel you fit this criteria and have something special to offer our community at this event, write to [email protected]. They look forward to hearing from you!

|Parent Meetings & Presentations
Parent Meeting 10: Positive Parenting Workshop for Thai Parents
On Thursday 16 November, the Thai Management organised a fantastic Positive Parenting Workshop. It was an insightful session where parents not only received valuable information but also had the opportunity to share their own family’s techniques during the meeting. The event was a wonderful way for our school community to come together, learn, and support each other in fostering positive and nurturing environments for our children. A massive thank you to our Thai parents who participated and contributed to making this workshop a success!

|Phuket Sunshine Village Fundraiser
Congratulations HeadStart Cherngtalay children and their families! We are so proud to announce that our Phuket Sunshine Village Fundraising drive has now passed the astonishing total of 150,000 Thai Baht! This includes a grand total of 17,000 Baht raised on Thursday by our Casual Clothes Day - an average of 100 Baht per student in our growing school!
Such a contribution can make a huge difference to the lives of PSV children and serves to strengthen our ties with the local community and develop ways in which we can educate our own students to share the good fortune that we enjoy. Special mention goes to the families of Chloe and Rudy, Emilia and David, Oscar and An An, Moumou, Evgenii and Lucia, and the children of Year 4 and Year 6 for their generous donations.
|Friday Market Eco Special
Last Friday, we held our second Friday Market, and this time it was an Eco Special! Thanks to all of the vendors who shared with us their mouthwatering healthy homemade snacks and products. And well done to Bella, Sophie, and Seara for running our first ever Year 6 Student-led Initiative with their Jazzy Jewelry and Homemade Slime activity stations for younger children. Look out for further student-led initiatives at our next market, a Christmas-themed special on Wednesday 13th December!
A massive well done to the Football Academy U11 Boys who competed in the Pisac Football competition on Saturday 11th November. It was the boys first competitive matches and they showed such a great ‘never give up’ attitude in some tough and challenging matches. A valuable experience for all the players and we look forward to the next matches ahead. Also a big shout out and thank you to Mr. Walker for taking the U11 United team at the tournament.
Building an Urban Cityscape in the Reception Classroom
In Reception, we have been reading our Power of Reading book, ‘Errol’s Garden’. Errol lived in an urban city and longed for a garden of his own. With the help of Errol’s neighbours, they worked together to build a beautiful garden on the roof of their homes. As a class, we created Errol’s city with lots of different kinds of buildings and for different purposes. It has been so much fun and our city is continuing to grow.
Learning to Write (and walk!) like an Ancient Egyptian
This week in Year 3, we have explored hieroglyphics and Ancient Egyptian symbols. We reflected on the past and appreciated what a skill it was to write and draw with this alphabet. We had so much fun writing on our own pieces of Papyrus paper and were very proud of the outcomes.
Classifying Minibeasts in Year 4
The Year 4s have been learning about animal classification in Science. This week we got to take on the role of Invertebrate Detectives as we investigated invertebrates in the local ecosystems around our school. The Year 4s did an excellent job making inquiries and observations into the weird and wonderful invertebrates they discovered. Well done to all of our detectives!
