The sky really is the limit!

Two of our ex-students will be celebrating this weekend! Mali and Michael returned to HeadStart to retake vital exams to clinch university places. Both students passed with flying colours and will now embark on International programmes in separate Bangkok universities.

Michael will start on the demanding Commercial Pilot’s License and degree course based at Rangsit and Don Muang Airport. Mali will be studying to gain a degree in the hospitality industry. Exciting stuff – well done!

Phuket Schools Football League

HeadStart is organising a 10 week Football League involving 6 schools: BIS, QSI, Darasamuth, Kajonkiet, Ban Dtalad Nua and HEADSTART starting this Saturday, the 26th of January, 2013!!!

**Cheer Leader involvement: **We are aiming to have the Cheer leading team cheer on the football teams on the morning of the 9th of March, 2013 at the HeadStart football pitch, and possibly 1 or 2 times more after that, to conclude the football season.

Cheer leaders will be fitted out for uniforms within the next month and be ready to perform thanks to Teacher Samantha Wilson who has been working hard to practice with the students 2 times a week. Now all we need is parent commitment and participation. We will inform you of the exact price for the outfits, times and locations.

Healthy snacks at HeadStart

In an effort to help our students understand what snacks are healthy to eat and what snacks should be avoided at HeadStart we have made a simple poster showing the snacks that will be allowed and which the student will have to keep packed in their school bag until they get home. Teachers will help to reinforce these good habits of eating healthy snacks at school and discourage students eating snacks with little or no nutritional value.

Chess Club

Donation box for schools and children in the deep south of Thailand has been placed in front of the office

Due to the unrest in the 3 Southern border provinces and the destruction and disruption that this has caused the Thai government has requested the cooperation of all teachers and students to donate 1 Baht per person to help the schools and students affected by this violence. HeadStart has placed a donation box in front of the Reception office.

Refund Policy

HeadStart now has adopted a Refund Policy to be able to accommodate parents and students refund requests more effectively. Should you need a refund please contact the office and fill out the “Refund Request Form.” Please attach a copy of your receipt for easy reference. The office will then process your request and all refunds will be made 15 days before the end of each term.

Thank you for your understanding and help in making office procedures run more smoothly.

Rubber Duck Race

Every year the Laguna group hosts an event to raise awareness and funds for charities on the island. This year they have invited the HeadStart school bands to perform and enter in the “Battle of the Bands” competition on the 3rd of March, 2013. If you have time, come and show your support for the students of HeadStart who will be performing at this event. If you would like to join this event tickets can be purchased at the school office.

การร่วมยินดีกับศิษย์เก่า

ขอแสดงความยินดีกับนักเรียนศิษย์เก่าของเรา 2 คนคือ มะลิ และไมเคิล ทีสอบผ่านแล้ว IGCSE วิชาเพิ่มเติม และกำลังจะเข้าศึกษาต่อในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย โปรแกรมนานาชาติ ในกรุงเทพ ซึ่งไมเคิลจะเรียนต่อในด้านการบินที่มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต ส่วนมะลิจะเรียนในด้านธุรกิจการบริการ ทางโรงเรียนขอแสดงความยินดีกับนักเรียนด้วย

การแข่งขันฟุตบอลของโรงเรียนในจังหวัดภูเก็ต

ทางโรงเรียนเฮดสตาร์ทได้จัดการแข่งขันฟุตบอล โดยจะมีระยะเวลาการแข่งขัน 10 สัปดาห์ และได้มี โรงเรียนที่เข้าร่วมแข่งขันถึง 6 โรงเรียน คือ โรงเรียนนานาชาติบริติช (BIS), โรงเรียนนานาติ QSI, โรงเรียนดาราสมุทร, โรงเรียนขจรเกียรติศึกษา, โรงเรียนบ้านตลาดเหนือ และโรงเรียนเฮดสตาร์ท โดยจะมีการแข่งขันทุกๆวันเสาร์ การแข่งขันนัดแรกจะมีขึ้นในวันเสาร์ ที่ 26 ม.ค. 2556 สามารถเข้าไปดูรายละเอียดและตารางการแข่งขันได้ที่ http://headstartphuket.com/phuket-schools-football-league/

ของว่างที่ดีต่อสุขภาพที่เฮดสตาร์ท

เพื่อเป็นการส่งเสริมให้นักเรียนรู้จักการบริโภคอาหารที่ดีต่อสุขภาพและหลีกเลี่ยงของว่างที่ไม่ควรนำมารับประทานที่โรงเรียน ทางโรงเรียนจึงได้จัดทำโปสเตอร์ที่มีรูปภาพประกอบให้นักเรียนดู ในขณะเดียวกันคุณครูจะช่วยส่งเสริมให้นักเรียนทานของว่างที่มีประโยชน์และจะช่วยดูแลนักเรียนไม่ให้รับประทานของว่างที่ไม่มีประโยชน์ด้วย โปรดดูรูปภาพประกอบที่ส่งมาให้ทางด้านบน

กิจกรรมตอนเช้าของนักเรียนชั้น Year 2A

นักเรียนชั้น Year 2A นำเสนอเมนูอาหารและขนมต่างๆจากประเทศของตนเองในกิจกรรมตอนเช้า ต้องขอขอบคุณผู้ปกครองทุกท่านที่ช่วยสนับสนุนนักเรียนในการนำเสนอขนมอร่อยๆให้นักเรียนทุกคนได้ทานร่วมกัน

กล่องรับบริจาคเงินเพื่อช่วยนักเรียนและโรงเรียนใน 3 จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้

จากเหตุการณ์ความไม่สงบใน 3 จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ที่ผ่านมา ทางรัฐบาลขอความร่วมมือครูและนักเรียนทุกโรงเรียนร่วมกันบริจาคเงินคนละ 1 บาทต่อเดือน เพื่อช่วยเหลือโรงเรียนและนักเรียนเหล่านั้น ทางโรงเรียนได้จัดวางกล่องรับบริจาคไว้ที่หน้าห้องธุรการแล้ว ขอเชิญชวนนักเรียนและผู้ปกครองเสียสละเงินเพียงเล็กน้อยเพื่อช่วยเหลือในโครงการนี้

ระเบียบการขอรับเงินคืน

หากท่านมีความประสงค์ที่จะขอรับเงินคืน กรุณาติดต่อแผนกธุรการเพื่อกรอกแบบฟอร์มการขอรับเงินคืน และกรุณาแนบสำเนาใบเสร็จรับเงินด้วยทุกครั้งเพื่อง่ายต่อการตรวจสอบของทางเจ้าหน้าที่บัญชี ทั้งนี้ทางโรงเรียนจะทำการคืนเงินในช่วงระหว่าง 15 วันก่อนสิ้นเทอม ขอขอบคุณในความร่วมมือ

งานการกุศลของลากูน่า (การแข่งขันลูกเป็ดยาง)

ในทุกๆปีทางลากูน่าจะจัดงานการกุศล Rubber Duck Race และในปีนี้ทางลากูน่าได้เชิญวงดนตรีของโรงเรียนเฮดสตาร์ทไปแสดงและเข้าร่วมแข่งขัน “Battle of the Bands” ในวันที่ 3 มีนาคมนี้ ทางโรงเรียนจึงขอเชิญไปร่วมชมและเป็นกำลังใจให้นักเรียนของเราท่านสามารถซื้อบัตรเข้างานได้ที่ห้องธุรการ
