Parent/Teacher conferences–From Mr. Jazon Edouard ——————————————————

Dear Parents,

I would like to invite you to the end of Term 1 Parent - Teacher conferences on December 14th. The Parent-Teacher conferences are an integral part of your child’s education and should not be missed. This opportunity to hear the progress your child has made during this term as well as to discuss improvement strategies with your child’s teachers will not only help you to understand how your child is progressing through the curriculum but will also enable your child to maximise their learning experience during the coming term. Recent studies confirm that students whose parents have an active and effective communication line with their teachers and the school, benefit from increased results of as high as 75% year on year.

We will also use the Parent- Teacher conferences on the 14th to introduce you to our new Parent Portal which will enable you to monitor your child’s academic progress, behaviour, homework, attendance, schedule, after school activities and many other important issues directly from home or from your mobile phone.

The Parent-Teacher conferences will run from 8am - 4:00pm on December 14th. All parents with children in classes from Preschool - Year 10 are welcome. Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher to make an appointment.

Sports day news ——————-

Sports Day will take place on the 13th of December during the morning. Students will participate in activities such as 50 meter sprints,Balancing Buckets races, Egg and Spoon races. 3-Legged races, Sprint Relays,Sack races, Tug of war, etc.

Students should come to school in their ‘House’ colours and be ready for some serious competition!

Christmas Party news ————————

HeadStart will be hosting a Christmas party for the parents and students on the 13th of December from 2:00-4:00 pm. We hope that parents will also attend the event as there will be shaded places to sit, food and drinks for purchase at very good prices. Students should bring a little bit of money to enjoy some of the snacks on sale and amusements that will be set up on that day.

Besides all of the treats that the students will receive from Santa and the snacks provided by the school, we would like to invite interested parents to set up small booths to sell food for the event. Simple things like Spring Rolls, curry dishes, BBQ’ed foods can be a nice addition to the event. HeadStart will provide the tents and 1 table per booth for the event. Please contact Miki Edouard in the upstairs office if you would like to reserve a table for this purpose.

Under 9’s Football Friendly with Kajonkiet ———————————————-

HeadStart hosted a football friendly with the Under 9’s team from Kajonkiet. Congratulations to the HeadStart teams winning 12-3 to HeadStart!

Cheer Leading News ———————-

This week saw our first Cheer Leading training session with around 40 students from Year 4-6 attending! The excited shrieks of laughter and fun echoed through the hallways reminding us that the program is off to a great start! All Cheer Leaders have been given a form to sign and return to the teacher at the Monday practice session. Parents please take note that joining the Cheer Leading club requires a commitment and therefore we will only accept applicants who can perform well and commit to the club.

Loy Gratong News ——————–

Students from the Year 7 and 11 classes made beautiful Gratongs to celebrate the Thai festival on the 28th of Novemebr, 2012.

Nong Fura, from Year 1A participated in the Beauty Pageant at the Loy Gratong Festival at Wat Dtai. Congratulations for winning first place!

Safety reminder ——————-

A timely reminder to parents about the importance of wearing seat belts in cars. Children should be seated in the rear of a vehicle where ever possible and should wear seat belts too. Seat belts save lives - please use them.

HeadStart’s Tennis Champion strikes again! ———————————————-

Last weekend, James joined the ATTA #4 tennis tournament in Krabi and won 2 Medals! James won the 1st place for ‘Boy single under 10 years’ category and the 1st place for ‘Boys singles under 12 years old.’ Congratulations James!

Art Department News ———————–

Cultural Self Portraits drawn by Hami, Fran and Ken in Year 9. Year 3 class has been learning about the Egyptians in class so they made a painting of King Tutankhamen. Year 4B has made an octopus from wire and plaster. Year 7 and 8 have been learning about Op Art! They created Op art cubes and fashion inspired by Op Art. Year 5 students have created beautiful ‘Still Life’ paintings.

เรียนผู้ปกครองที่เคารพ

ทางโรงเรียนขอเชิญผู้ปกครองทุกท่าน เข้าร่วมการประชุมผู้ปกครองประจำภาคเรียนที่ 1 ในวันศุกร์ที่ 14 ธ.ค. 2555 การประชุมผู้ปกครองถือเป็นช่วงเวลาที่สำคัญของการศึกษาของนักเรียน และยังเป็นโอกาสที่ท่านจะได้สอบถามพัฒนาการของนักเรียน อีกทั้งยังได้ปรึกษาหารือ แนวทางการพัฒนาในด้านต่างๆกับครูผู้สอน ซึ่งไม่เพียงแต่จะทำให้ท่านเข้าใจว่าบุตรหลานของท่านมีความก้าวหน้าในการสอบผ่านหลักสูตร แต่ยังจะช่วยให้บุตรหลานของท่านได้เพิ่มประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ของ มีข้อมูลยืนยันว่านักเรียนที่พ่อแม่มีการสื่อสารกับครูและโรงเรียน จะส่งผลดีต่อการเรียนเพิ่มขึ้นคิดเป็น 75% ต่อปี

นอกจากนี้ทางโรงเรียนยังจะใช้การประชุมผู้ปกครองในวันที่ 14 ธ.ค. นี้ แนะนำท่านไปยังParent Portal โปรแกรมใหม่ จาก schoolbase ที่จะช่วยให้ท่านสามารถตรวจสอบความก้าวหน้าทางการเรียน พฤติกรรมในห้องเรียน การส่งการบ้าน สถิติการมาโรงเรียน ตารางสอน กิจกรรมหลังเลิกเรียน และอีกหลายๆเรื่องที่เกี่ยวกับโรงเรียน โดยท่านสามารถเข้าถึงข้อมูลได้โดยตรงจากที่บ้าน หรือผ่านทางโทรศัพท์มือถือของท่านได้อย่างง่ายดาย

การประชุมครูและผู้ปกครองจะเริ่มตั้งแต่เวลา 8:00 น. - 16:00 น. ในวันที่ 14 ธันวาคม นี้ ทางโรงเรียนยินดีต้อนรับผู้ปกครองทุกคนที่มีบุตรหลานในชั้นเรียนจากชั้น Preschool - Year 10 กรุณาติดต่อครูประจำชั้นเพื่อทำการนัดหมายเวลาและครูประจำวิชาที่ท่านอยากพบ

วันกีฬาสีโรงเรียน ———————

ทางโรงเรียนจะจัดงานวันกีฬาสีในวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 13 ธันวาคม 2555 ช่วงเช้า นักเรียนจะได้ทำกิจกรรมหลายๆอย่างเช่น วิ่งเดี่ยว วื่งผลัด กีฬาพื้นบ้าน วิ่งสามขา วิ่งกระสอบ ชักเย่อ เป็นต้น นักเรียนจะต้องแต่งตัวมาในชุดกีฬาและใส่เสื้อตรงตามสีที่ตัวเองอยู่

งานวันคริสมาสต์ ——————-

ทางโรงเรียนจะจัดงานวันคริสมาสต์ขึ้นในวันพฤหัสบดี ที่ 13 ธันวาคม 2555 เวลา 14.00-16.00 ผู้ปกครองสามารถเข้าร่วมชมได้ ทางโรงเรียนจะมีอาหารและเครื่องดื่มไว้บริการในราคาย่อมเยา นักเรียนควรนำเงินติดกระเป๋ามาด้วยเพื่อซื้อขนมเล็กๆน้อยในวันงาน

ในการนี้ทางโรงเรียนขอเรียนเชิญผู้ปกครองที่สนใจจะเข้าร่วมเปิดบูธขายอาหาร เช่น ปอเปี๊ยะ อาหารไทยง่ายๆ บาร์บีคิว เป็นต้น ทางโรงเรียนจะจัดหาเต๊นท์ไว้รองรับ และโต๊ะ 1 ตัว ต่อ 1บูธ สนใจติดต่อจองบูธและสอบถามรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมได้ที่คุณมิกี้ ที่ห้องธุรการของโรงเรียน

คำเตือนเรื่องความปลอดภัย —————————-

ขอให้ท่านเห็นความสำคัญของการรัดเข็มขัดนิรภัยทุกครั้งขณะขับรถ รวมทั้งนักเรียนควรรัดเข็มขัดอย่างปลอดภัยในขณะที่อยู่ในรถเช่นเดียวกัน

ผลการแข่งขันเทนนิส ———————-

เมื่อช่วงสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา ด.ช. เจมส์ วาน แฮเซลเลอร์ ได้รับรางวัลรองชนะเลิศจากการแข่งขันเทนนิส ประเภทชายเดี่ยว รุ่นอายุไม่เกิน 12 ปี และ รางวัลชนะเลิศ อันดับที่ 1 ประเภทชายเดี่ยว รุ่นอายุไม่เกิน 10 ปี จากสถาบันกรมการพลศึกษาจังหวัดกระบี่ ขอแสดงความยินดีกับน้องเจมส์ค่ะ

ผลการประกวดหนูน้อยนพมาศ —————————

ด.ญ. ชฎาณิศ ประชุมพรรณ์ นักเรียนชั้น Year 1A ได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศ ขวัญใจประชาชน จากการประกวดหนูน้อยนพมาศในงานวันลอยกระทง ณ วัดใต้ จัดโดยเทศบาลตำบลฉลอง ขอแสดงความยินดีกับน้องฟูร่าด้วยค่ะ

ข่าวจากแผนกศิลปะ ——————–

การวาดรูปคนในหลายๆวัฒนธรรม โดย ด.ญ. จุไรทิพย์ Year 9 ด.ญ. นาโอมิ Year 6 และ เคนจาก Year 9 นักเรียนชั้น Year 3 ได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับชาวอียิปต์และกษัตริย์ฟาโรห์ Year 4B ได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับการทำปลาหมึกจากปูนปลาสเตอร์ ส่วนYear 7 และ Year 8 ได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับ Op art หรือ ศิลปะภาพลวงตา นักเรียนวาดภาพลวงตาโดยสื่อออกมาในรูปแบบของแฟชั่น และ Year 5ได้ศึกษาเกี่ยวกับการวาดภาพหุ่นประเภทต่างๆ
