2025 Academic Results
We are proud to announce that HeadStart’s 2025 AS/A-Level, BTEC and IGCSE results are, once again, incredibly impressive across the board.
For the full A-Level, our Year 13 (and two Year 12!) students obtained an incredible 47% A* or A with 92% graded A to C and a 100% pass rate. At AS-Level, 36% of all entries obtained an A* or A, while 81% were graded A* to C, and again 100% of our Year 12 students passed. These compare particularly favourably with UK averages, where overall 28.3% of A-Level grades were A* or A (2025 data).
Year 12 BTEC students saw 35% of their entries awarded a Distinction Star or Distinction (equivalent to A* and A respectively at AS-Level). Meanwhile, our Year 13s took it to the next level with an amazing 60% of grades awarded a Distinction Star or Distinction, and 100% of Year 13 BTEC entries passing their course (Merit or above).
With 42% of our 2025 IGCSE students receiving A* or A Grades, 92% of students receiving A* to C grades and an overall pass rate of 100%, we couldn’t be prouder of last year’s Year 11 cohort.

Oustanding Learner Awards 2025
The Outstanding Learner Awards celebrate top international students in Cambridge and Pearson exams. In 2025, HeadStart students achieved exceptional results, with two standing out: Melissa Sommerladt ranked Top in the World for IGCSE Foreign Language Mandarin Chinese; and Erica Ilstam was recognized as Top in Thailand for A Level Psychology. High achievement awards were also obtained by Emma Delsol (IGCSE Foreign Language French), Sixuan (Alice) Li (AS Level Psychology) and Zoe Fuchs (A Level Literature in English). We are incredibly proud not only of these accomplishments, but of the hard work and dedication that both students put in to achieve these remarkable results.

Outstanding Learner Awards 2024
The Outstanding Learner Awards celebrate top international students in Cambridge and Pearson exams. In 2024, HeadStart GCSE students achieved remarkable results, with three standing out: Conor Bowens ranked 1st in Thailand across 8 subjects, including Top in English Literature; Berta Palop Roca earned the highest mark in Asia for GCSE Art & Design; and Daniel (Yichen Ma) was recognized as Top in the World for iGCSE Mathematics. In the 2023-24 AS and A Level exams, notable achievers included Head Boy, Krit (Krittat Phaisamran), and Selly (Hyunji Lee), who received High Achievement Awards in AS English Literature and A Level Chemistry, respectively. Kirill Kochetkov was ranked Top in Thailand in A Level Mathematics.

Cambridge Learner Awards 2020
With over 10,000 Cambridge schools worldwide in 160 different countries, there are over 1.2 million examination entries for Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A Level qualifications on an annual basis. In Thailand alone, there are over 100 schools offering these qualifications and thousands of students completing them. This makes the following news quite exceptional indeed! In October of each year, Cambridge announces those students who have scored the highest marks in their exams within Thailand, as well as in the world. HeadStart students have regularly received ‘Top in Thailand’ awards over the last nine years. However, this year our student’s performance in their exams has been truly exceptional. 14 of our students have scored the highest marks in Thailand and for the first time, one of those students scored the highest marks in the world! The diversity of the subjects that have received such high marks is incredible: Literature, Mathematics, the Sciences, Humanities, Computing, Language and the Creative Arts. The success of these students is a result of sustained hard work, effort and dedication on their part, and outstanding teachers and supportive parents helping them to achieve success.
